ELIGIBLE WORKS

The aim of the Built Heritage Investment Scheme is to
investment in a significant number of small-scale, labour-
intensive conservation projects throughout the county and
to support the employment of conservation professionals,
craftspeople and tradespersons in the repair of the historic
built environment.

Each Local authority is allocated a fixed amount from the
overall national fund of €4 m as determined by the Department
of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, and will support
the works to protected structures, Proposed Protected Structures,
and Structures in Architectural Conservation Areas (ACAs), or
within the amenity of a National Monument, where exceptional
circumstances are deemed by the Department to apply.
